Professional Project Review

In this video a young High school student, named Micheala Gertner is being interviewed about weight lifting. In her family weight lifting is very common, her sisters and he father compete. Although, she wieght lifts she is still your typical teenager. (CNN Montano)
The video is primarily close ups with other shots to fill in the time. A lot of shots are repeated to show the full action. Most of these shots are very well framed and everything flows together. For example, when she was lifting weights the action started with a close up and ended with the exact same close up.
The story told was the story of a teenage girl who participates in an unusual sport, it was told through an interview. One element from this video I would apply to my own work is the amount of close up there in comparison to the other shots. One thing that is applied in this video that I already learned is framing.
Based on the work I have seen the creator did a great job on framing he shots. The creator also did a great job on making the story flow together. However, the creator could improve on using less close ups and becoming more creative with the types of shots. By doing these things it would dramatically improve the video because it would create a different version and make it more interesting.
Overall the video was very well framed and creatively shot. I would be more interested in it if it was more about how she go into weight lifting and what goes into a daily work out. In general it needed to be researched more. Some of the shots needed to be longer. In conclusion the video was good. Micheala Gertner Video

1st Semester Reflection

This year I gained many strengths. Some of my strengths include project management, cooperation, and leadership. I have strong project management because I get my assignments done on time and they are quality packages. My cooperation skills are strong too because I communicate well with Haley and calm her down when she's stressed out. I have great leadership skills because I can lead people without being bossy. Also my leadership skills have helped me finish my work on time and work well with others. However, I have a few weaknesses like staying on task and being proactive. My plan to become more proactive is by helping out with more things after school and helping set up the broadcast. I will also sit in on the game day broadcasts and learn how to work the equipment. My personality type is an ESFJ. ESFJ are kind, smart, and detailed workers. We are concerned about other peoples feelings more than our own. ESFJ take pride and their work and appreciate praise and compliments. I think my personality type fits me right on. For example ESFJ are organized people and we get our work done on time and that describes me perfectly! Whenever I participate in group settings I mostly try to be the lead role. I work well and cooperate with my other group members. If my role in the group is not the leadership role then I still tend to participate as much as I can. However, sometimes my mom misunderstands me because I try to boss my little brother around. I created this logo by using adobe illustrator. I used the shape tool to create the circle and then i used the color tool to change the color to blue. I then used the triangle tool to create the chevron effect and used the color tool to change the colors. I also used the type tool to type my name and changed the font to reflect my girly and feline side. Some problems I faced while creating my logo were creating the chevron pattern and figuring out how to position my name. I addressed the problems by first testing out different shapes and lines to form the chevron then i used different colors to create the illusion of chevron. Some things i did well in the logo project was creating the illusion of chevron and the different colors that went into my logo. However I still need to work on adding different levels of interest and adding more depth. Next time I do this project I will spend more time on details and on the shape and less time on choosing fonts. ...
