Professional Project Review

In this video Lynn Dillard films him and his daughter donating blood to the American Red Cross (Dilliard, Lynn Wray. "Red Cross Blood Drive." YouTube. YouTube, 17 Aug. 2012. Web. 11 Nov. 2015.) This video didn’t use the rule of thirds when interviewing people. The camera was very shaky when he was filming himself giving blood. Another thing was that there were awkward camera angles and he didn’t use the six shot system. The music choice was poor it didn’t go with the theme or story of the video. This video didn’t really have a story it was mainly a video of them giving blood and it was told through a donors perspective. The one thing I would apply in my video that this video had was that the camera was focused correctly. One thing I’ve learned that this video has is the correct way to white balance. The creator of this video did a decent job on focusing the camera and using good lighting however, they need to work on telling a story and using the six shot system while filming. Overall this video did a decent job explaining the process of donating blood.

The scope of this project was to create ordinary objects out of shapes. By doing this we created an object just out of simple shape that we normally wouldn't think would go together. My process throughout this project was to create something relatable and that go well together. Along the way I learned how use the path finder tool and  how to use the  live paint bucket. Next time I will make a different item and use different told.

Patterns

This is a repeating pattern. For this pattern I used the polygon tool and rotated it into a diamond. Next time I will improve my project by using smart guides.  My process through out this project was trying to come up with a creative pattern and using the correct colors. I also had problems aligning the shapes equally. This is a radial pattern. A radial pattern rotates from the center to the outside. I created this pattern by first making a circle then using the direct select tool to cut out pieces of the circle. Then I rotated those pieces thus creating a spiral pattern.

Professional Project Review

This article was about a tragic event that happened at community college in Roseburg, Oregon. In Oregon an armed gunman opened fire on the campus. Nine people were killed and at least seven were wounded. The article focuses on the reporters of the incident and how demanding they were of people to get an interview with them. Many people saw this as disrespectful and rude but the reporters were just doing their job. The author does not take a strong stand for either side of the argument. He mainly discusses both sides and does not state which side is right or wrong. He agrees with the victims that it is rude but he also agrees that it is their job and that they don't mean to come off rude, but it is their job to get information quickly as possible and give it to the public. The Aritcle is not a strong source if you are looking for information of the shooting but it is strong public opinion on the topic. It discusses how reporters are too demanding of people and come off strong ...
