I watched ESPN's Preseason Favorites and they discussed their favorites what the team has done well thus far. The anchors have good chemistry together. They also wait for each other to finish what they are saying before they speak next. He says a lot of interesting facts about the different teams. Both of the commentators play off one an other and have nice banter.

They can improve on a few things such as less pauses and more facts. The segment is a little negative towards the chiefs. GO CHIEFS! They do include a lot of their own opinions and not enough facts.  They jump from topic to topic a lot with out nice transitions.

Overall the segment was interesting and I learned a lot about football. We could bring some of this energy into the raven round up. The class can also research more for the pregame shows. I learned that I need to bring more enthusiasm and facts into my voice overs.

I created this logo by using adobe illustrator. I used the shape tool to create the circle and then i used the color tool to change the color to blue. I then used the triangle tool to create the chevron effect and used the color tool to change the colors. I also used the type tool to type my name and changed the font to reflect my girly and feline side.  Some problems I faced while creating my logo were creating the chevron pattern and figuring out how to position my name.  I addressed the problems by first testing out different shapes and lines to form the chevron then i used different colors to create the illusion of chevron. Some things i did well in the logo project was creating the illusion of chevron and the different colors that went into my logo. However I still need to work on adding different levels of interest and adding more depth. Next time I do this project I will spend more time on details and on the shape and less time on choosing fonts. ...

I read about the  Las Vegas Shooting  and the tragic loss their city has faced. The reporter did a great job giving the public specific information on who the killer was and his life before the shooting. They also did well titling the story because it stated the 4 w's. They could improve by giving more information on the victims and about the festival. Also they should've stated new information. I didn't learn any new formation in this article because they are repeating what was said on the news. I learned that I need to include the 5 W's in my recap. I also learned that you need to give new information in my recap. Also I will write more informative articles and use more visual aids.

I watched a USC football recap USC Football recap  that ESPN produced and they did a great job using a shot sheet. They told me the situation, action, and the result. The commentator also continuously told me what quarter the event occurred and what the score was. ESPN also used interesting graphics to tell the audience the situation. They need to work on more enthusiasm and personality with the voice overs.  The shots could be a little more varied. He needed to use more analysis and less of an overview. He could've gotten an interview with the coach and another player. I can implement some of these things in my videos and news packages. I would use the shot sheet more. I would also need to use a cool lower thirds because it made the video interesting. In the video they also used graphics and I can use that in my packages as well.
