Weekly Blog 10/23/17

This week I watched a video about a girl burned by acid it was a sad story about a young girl burned by a classmate. This young girl now has PTSD and is trying to work through it. The anchors did a a great job researching before. They also used the 5 W's and gave her a sense comfort.

The anchors had a some things they need to work on. They were too busy thinking about the next question instead of asking follow up questions. Also they had a problem with interrupting her before she was done speaking.

I will incorporate the 5 W's into my interviews. I will also work on asking follow up questions for the interviews. I will also put in a lot of time and research into my work before I interview the person.

1st Semester Reflection

This year I gained many strengths. Some of my strengths include project management, cooperation, and leadership. I have strong project management because I get my assignments done on time and they are quality packages. My cooperation skills are strong too because I communicate well with Haley and calm her down when she's stressed out. I have great leadership skills because I can lead people without being bossy. Also my leadership skills have helped me finish my work on time and work well with others. However, I have a few weaknesses like staying on task and being proactive. My plan to become more proactive is by helping out with more things after school and helping set up the broadcast. I will also sit in on the game day broadcasts and learn how to work the equipment. I will stay on task by working on my portfolio and my blogs. Overall this semester was very successful. I learned how to work well with others and what it takes to be a strong leader. I created this logo by using adobe illustrator. I used the shape tool to create the circle and then i used the color tool to change the color to blue. I then used the triangle tool to create the chevron effect and used the color tool to change the colors. I also used the type tool to type my name and changed the font to reflect my girly and feline side. Some problems I faced while creating my logo were creating the chevron pattern and figuring out how to position my name. I addressed the problems by first testing out different shapes and lines to form the chevron then i used different colors to create the illusion of chevron. Some things i did well in the logo project was creating the illusion of chevron and the different colors that went into my logo. However I still need to work on adding different levels of interest and adding more depth. Next time I do this project I will spend more time on details and on the shape and less time on choosing fonts. ...

Weekly Blog 11/10/17

This week I improved on correcting the audio levels in my packages. I also fixed the color in my interviews. My voice overs also dramatically improved this year and instead of repeating what the person says I'm actually leading into the interview.
