EOY Reflection

I am sad that my time in e-Comm has come to an end but I will take many things away from it. One takeaway is technology. By being in this program I became very tech savvy as well as gaining new camera skills. I also had many opportunities to improve my communication skills. I worked well with my team members and had many opportunities to better my leadership skills. Since being in this program I have gained many strengths and decreased my weaknesses. I will like to thank Mr. Cooper for giving so many awesome memories and for being such a kind person! Keep up the good work Mr. Cooper and never stop being you!

Patterns

This is a repeating pattern. For this pattern I used the polygon tool and rotated it into a diamond. Next time I will improve my project by using smart guides.  My process through out this project was trying to come up with a creative pattern and using the correct colors. I also had problems aligning the shapes equally. This is a radial pattern. A radial pattern rotates from the center to the outside. I created this pattern by first making a circle then using the direct select tool to cut out pieces of the circle. Then I rotated those pieces thus creating a spiral pattern.

I created this logo by using adobe illustrator. I used the shape tool to create the circle and then i used the color tool to change the color to blue. I then used the triangle tool to create the chevron effect and used the color tool to change the colors. I also used the type tool to type my name and changed the font to reflect my girly and feline side.  Some problems I faced while creating my logo were creating the chevron pattern and figuring out how to position my name.  I addressed the problems by first testing out different shapes and lines to form the chevron then i used different colors to create the illusion of chevron. Some things i did well in the logo project was creating the illusion of chevron and the different colors that went into my logo. However I still need to work on adding different levels of interest and adding more depth. Next time I do this project I will spend more time on details and on the shape and less time on choosing fonts.

Professional Project Review

This article was about a tragic event that happened at community college in Roseburg, Oregon. In Oregon an armed gunman opened fire on the campus. Nine people were killed and at least seven were wounded. The article focuses on the reporters of the incident and how demanding they were of people to get an interview with them. Many people saw this as disrespectful and rude but the reporters were just doing their job. The author does not take a strong stand for either side of the argument. He mainly discusses both sides and does not state which side is right or wrong. He agrees with the victims that it is rude but he also agrees that it is their job and that they don't mean to come off rude, but it is their job to get information quickly as possible and give it to the public. The Aritcle is not a strong source if you are looking for information of the shooting but it is strong public opinion on the topic. It discusses how reporters are too demanding of people and come off strong
