Final Evaluation

For our Final we had to create our own product and present it to the sharks (our teachers) and try to sell our product to them.  When we began the project we had  to collaborate with our team to come up with the product. Our product was Friends In A Bottle, Friends In A Bottle is  a bottle that you drink out of and friends appear, different friends appear based on the different color banner around the bottle. For example yellow= a mixed group of boys and girls, Pink= all girls, Blue= all boys. When we were coming up with the idea we wanted to create something parents and kids would enjoy and we thought of Friends in a Bottle which both parents an skids enjoy. I learned many things including technical and professionally. One technical thing I learned was how to make a successful website. I personally learned was how to meet deadlines and collaborate with tam members.

Somethings I will do differently next time would be making a different product, website, animation, and commercial because it would be interesting to see what we could come up with next. One thing I would keep the same would be my team because we worked well together and got our jobs done on time. I will draw real life experiences and memories from this project. Overall this project was interesting an exciting, I liked creating our own products and presenting them to the class.

I created this logo by using adobe illustrator. I used the shape tool to create the circle and then i used the color tool to change the color to blue. I then used the triangle tool to create the chevron effect and used the color tool to change the colors. I also used the type tool to type my name and changed the font to reflect my girly and feline side.  Some problems I faced while creating my logo were creating the chevron pattern and figuring out how to position my name.  I addressed the problems by first testing out different shapes and lines to form the chevron then i used different colors to create the illusion of chevron. Some things i did well in the logo project was creating the illusion of chevron and the different colors that went into my logo. However I still need to work on adding different levels of interest and adding more depth. Next time I do this project I will spend more time on details and on the shape and less time on choosing fonts. ...

I read about the  Las Vegas Shooting  and the tragic loss their city has faced. The reporter did a great job giving the public specific information on who the killer was and his life before the shooting. They also did well titling the story because it stated the 4 w's. They could improve by giving more information on the victims and about the festival. Also they should've stated new information. I didn't learn any new formation in this article because they are repeating what was said on the news. I learned that I need to include the 5 W's in my recap. I also learned that you need to give new information in my recap. Also I will write more informative articles and use more visual aids.

I watched a USC football recap USC Football recap  that ESPN produced and they did a great job using a shot sheet. They told me the situation, action, and the result. The commentator also continuously told me what quarter the event occurred and what the score was. ESPN also used interesting graphics to tell the audience the situation. They need to work on more enthusiasm and personality with the voice overs.  The shots could be a little more varied. He needed to use more analysis and less of an overview. He could've gotten an interview with the coach and another player. I can implement some of these things in my videos and news packages. I would use the shot sheet more. I would also need to use a cool lower thirds because it made the video interesting. In the video they also used graphics and I can use that in my packages as well.
