Exploring Video Final Reflection

This year in Video I learned how to create music videos, news packages, and entertaining videos.  I also learned how to collaborate well with my team members. Another thing I learned was how to correctly write scripts. to create the scripts we used celts which is a professional script writing website. In class we would watch ONW Now and critique the show to find out what we can do better next year.

I learned through listening thoroughly in class and taking neat notes. I also constantly asked question on how to improve my films. Another way we learned was by watching and researching news stories. If I had any questions I would ask my peers to help me. I learned a lot from Natalie about how to quickly and correctly edit film. When I wasn't in class I would watch the news packages in the  morning on GMA to learn how they created their  packages.

What I learned this year is important because it will help set me apart from other students at Olathe Northwest who aren't in video. Also this society is becoming more visual and by having video skills I will be able to fit into the social movement.  Exploring video is a great class and students will learn important information. For softball to get recruited you have send college coaches a video of you at practice and since I am in a video class I was able to create and edit the video easily and cleanly.

My strengths in this class would be editing film, being a director , and working well with others. I am a very organized person which makes me a good leader because I will always have a production schedule and make sure we stick to it. However I do have some weaknesses, those include interesting shots and creativity. I lack creativity. I learn from examples of others and use their examples and try to make it my own.

I will use what I have learned in this class to create interesting music videos and news packages. Also I will use it to create tutorial videos to hep other students learn how to make these videos. This information is very useful and should be shared with the world.

I would not change anything this year because I think I preformed to the best of my abilities. This semester I think I deserve an A because I worked incredibly this year on all our projects. I also did the best I could with the potent rock and the third act was not terrible we definitely improved as the semester went on.

Patterns

This is a repeating pattern. For this pattern I used the polygon tool and rotated it into a diamond. Next time I will improve my project by using smart guides.  My process through out this project was trying to come up with a creative pattern and using the correct colors. I also had problems aligning the shapes equally. This is a radial pattern. A radial pattern rotates from the center to the outside. I created this pattern by first making a circle then using the direct select tool to cut out pieces of the circle. Then I rotated those pieces thus creating a spiral pattern.
The scope of this project was to create ordinary objects out of shapes. By doing this we created an object just out of simple shape that we normally wouldn't think would go together. My process throughout this project was to create something relatable and that go well together. Along the way I learned how use the path finder tool and  how to use the  live paint bucket. Next time I will make a different item and use different told.

Professional Project Review

This article was about a tragic event that happened at community college in Roseburg, Oregon. In Oregon an armed gunman opened fire on the campus. Nine people were killed and at least seven were wounded. The article focuses on the reporters of the incident and how demanding they were of people to get an interview with them. Many people saw this as disrespectful and rude but the reporters were just doing their job. The author does not take a strong stand for either side of the argument. He mainly discusses both sides and does not state which side is right or wrong. He agrees with the victims that it is rude but he also agrees that it is their job and that they don't mean to come off rude, but it is their job to get information quickly as possible and give it to the public. The Aritcle is not a strong source if you are looking for information of the shooting but it is strong public opinion on the topic. It discusses how reporters are too demanding of people and come off strong ...
