This year in Video I learned how to create music videos, news packages, and entertaining videos.  I also learned how to collaborate well with my team members. Another thing I learned was how to correctly write scripts. to create the scripts we used celts which is a professional script writing website. In class we would watch ONW Now and critique the show to find out what we can do better next year. I learned through listening thoroughly in class and taking neat notes. I also constantly asked question on how to improve my films. Another way we learned was by watching and researching news stories. If I had any questions I would ask my peers to help me. This semester in Graphic design I furthered my education in Adobe Illustrator. I also Learned new things in Photoshop. I learned how to create new patterns, for example a mandala pattern. Another thing I learned how to create was a carton and 3D revolve.  The team carton project was a fairly simple project but it took a lot of planning and project management. I needed advanced technical skills to create the 3D revolve and carton. I learned how to do those projects through tutorials I found on youtube or through presentations Ms. Lofquist gave us. However I learned better from the tutorials because I could go at my own pace. But if I didn't understand something I would ask the people around for help. In this class I was constantly collaborating with the people around me. Graphic Design is important because the visual arts are starting to become more influential in our world. Mallory and I created a carton for toy helicopters. Our package can also be used as a toy hospital with a landing pad on top of the building. For the design process we wrote done ideas then narrowed it down to one. I created the logo, type and color pallet. Mallory created the carton and the bottle for extra blades. The process to create this was simple and didn't take very long. We worked very well together and created an awesome product.

These designs are alternate designs for my business cards. I tired to create a variety of styles for the cards so I could have multiple design choices for my clients.

For this project we had to create our own magazine cover. My magazine was inspired by Sports Illustrated. I chose to base my magazine off of Sports Illustrated because I am very athletic and I like sports. The design process for this project wasn't very long because I knew what I wanted to do. However I had some complications trying to figure out how to put the text behind my head.
